“Lethal Justice” is a C or D film thriller so badly scripted, amateurishly-acted and stridently-scored that you simply marvel the place the cash to make it, or make all of it higher, went?

It was shot and set in Biloxi. Didn’t the state pitch in on it? Did Brett Favre steal that money, too?

There are a few pseudo Southern accents, all of them from the locals introduced on board as supporting solid in a story of a decide in jail, “revenge” on the prosecutor and police chief who put him there and who is likely to be behind it.

Actor Corin Nemec scripted this story about Deep South “justice” and a real crime TV interview collection whose host tries to “gotcha” his manner into getting that case reopened. It’s riddled with ludicrous plot twists, hilariously tone-deaf reactions to crimes and lunk-headed makes an attempt at humor.

The gamers, even the professionals within the solid, can’t repair it. The amateurish bit gamers? They didn’t have a prayer.

Kelly Sullivan performs Holly, the previous DA now getting into non-public apply who makes the error of displaying up on Dale Jones’ (Brian Krause) “Actual Crimes” expose present. A decide went to jail for stalking and murdering his spouse, a case so infamous a TV film (sampled right here, a movie even worse than the “actual” film) was produced from it.

“Actual Crime” appears to suppose Holly and her retired police chief Dad (Marco St. John) railroaded that decide.

The present doesn’t go effectively, and as a bonus, the creep host asks Holly out afterwards. Worse nonetheless, when she will get dwelling, anyone tases her and leaves a be aware telling her it’s “Your flip to lose somebody.”

Holly, the ex-DA, doesn’t report this assault to the police. “Logic” goes out the window, by no means to return, as we’re handled to a mad taserer who comes for Holly’s assistant (Christiana Leucas), her Dad and others.

That new man on the town, the second man to hit on Holly the primary time he meets her? Possibly over-concerned Theo (screenwriter and “Stargate” veteran Nemec) is concerned. Possibly the “Duck Dynasty” wanting decide (Billy Miller) is pulling strings from contained in the penitentiary.

As extra issues occur to Holly, we type of hope she ultimately calls the cops, or that Dad does. Not that we count on that to assist.

One curious factor in regards to the casting. The script doesn’t make a lot of the truth that Krause and Nemec might be brothers, they appear a lot alike. That’s a plot twist left under-developed. And the viewer is left to ponder if two weathered 50somethings would have a shot with the beautiful, achieved single-lady lawyer.

Possibly. However then, she’s by no means left Biloxi.

Sullivan, with a profession that extends again to the movie model of the musical “The Producers,” and who was in “Roman J. Israel, Esq.” and TV’s “By no means Have I Ever,” virtually will get by way of this together with her dignity intact.

As for everyone else, not a lot.

That second we hear “Is anyone believing any of this drivel?” shouted on the stay “Actual Crime” TV present within the film? That’s probably the most becoming single-sentence evaluation of it.
